Apple sparkling wine is here! Produced using traditional bottle fermentation methods, this apple sparkling wine bubbles gently. A wonderful aperitif for toasting or as a meal companion.

Traditional bottle fermentation

Traditional bottle fermentation, also known as méthode traditionnelle or méthode champenoise , is a method for producing sparkling wine, particularly champagne. This involves the wine's secondary fermentation in the bottle. After the addition of yeast and sugar, the bottle is sealed and stored, producing carbon dioxide and carbonating the wine. After aging, the yeast is removed by riddling and disgorging. This laborious process results in high-quality, fine-bubbled sparkling wines with complex flavors .

Cuvée

It is a cuvée of the varieties Elstar, Topaz, Rubinette and Boskoop.

The hand-picked apples from Lake Constance come from our own orchards. The Lake Constance region benefits from its Mediterranean climate, which is reflected in the robust aroma of the fruit grown here. Meladoro is our homage to the Lake Constance apple.

We ship within 1-2 days with DHL. Shipping costs are €7.90 per order.

Enjoyment recommendation

Sparkling wines should ideally be consumed from a tulip-shaped glass, also known as a champagne flute. These glasses have a narrow, tall shape with a slightly open rim. The reason for this is:

  1. Carbonation retention: The narrow opening helps to keep the carbon dioxide in the glass longer, so that the fine bubbles escape more slowly and the champagne fizzes longer.
  2. Aroma concentration: The tulip shape concentrates the aromas of the champagne at the top of the glass, making it easier to smell and enjoy the complex fragrances.
  3. Optical effect: The tall, clear glass allows you to observe the bubbles rising, which is part of the aesthetic pleasure of champagne.

Flat, wide glasses like the classic champagne bowl are less suitable because they evaporate the aromas more quickly and the carbon dioxide escapes more quickly.

It is best enjoyed at 8°C.
