Fully ripened organic oranges are used fresh in this spread, making up 65% of the jar. Some love it spread on white bread, others prepare a fresh, homemade fruit yogurt, or simply enjoy this orange fruit spread straight from the jar. No wonder, since this orange spread is made entirely naturally and, unlike many other industrially produced marmalades, contains absolutely no artificial flavorings.
Why do we even make jam?
Good question – because it's not exactly obvious that a distillery would also produce fruit spreads. But for us, it's been a no-brainer for a while now. Ever since we started making gin, we've always had leftover fruit, since we use almost exclusively the zest (the peel) for both our Green Edition and Red Edition gins – leaving behind a lot of pulp. Since we can't eat all that, and it would be such a waste to throw away orange pulp, we preserve it as marmalade. Makes perfect sense, really. :-)
