Grandma's Berry Dream – When raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, cherries, and currants come together, it's practically red fruit jelly time! What Grandma would have served as a wonderfully fruity berry dream is now the lovingly crafted macerate of this red berry spirit. Fruity in flavor, refined with the finest spices and a hint of lemon, this red fruit spirit leaves little to be desired. Thanks to the particularly gentle distillation of the fruit macerate, the full power of the berries is also present – completely free of artificial additives and sugar!

Why is this a spirit?

Anyone who knows me knows that I regularly demonize "spirits." This particularly applies to brandies (distillates distilled from mash) that are marketed as spirits. Legally, this spirit is a spirit (even though it contains no sugar or artificial flavors), since the law doesn't allow for a "red berry spirit." And anything that can't be categorized must be declared as a spirit.

How quickly should a bottle be used up?

Opened bottles should generally be emptied within a few months to a maximum of one year to avoid loss of flavor.

For long-lasting enjoyment, you should always store a distillate in a dark, cool and upright place.

Trinktemperatur

Die beste Trinktemperatur für BRENNLUST Destillate liegt zwischen 15 und 18°C.

Etwas Wasser dazu

Bevor du vom Destillat probierst, trinke zunächst Wasser. Das befeuchtet die Zunge bzw. die Poren. Würde man durstig einen Schnaps trinken, würde der Alkohol die freiliegenden Poren auf der Zunge geradezu attackieren. 40%vol. fühlen sich dann schnell wie 50%vol. an.

Nicht alles auf einmal

Um das meiste der fruchtigen Aromen zu erleben, empfiehlt es sich, das Destillat in kleinen Schlückchen zu genießen. Einfach die Zunge beträufeln und die Aromen übernehmen den Rest.
