FreakstoTable eV: Why I am now part of this community
In November, I was privileged to become part of a very special family: freakstotable eV . An association dedicated to real food, passionate craftsmanship, and authentic enjoyment. 🍽️🔥
What are the Freaks to Table?
Behind freakstotable eV are passionate producers, creative chefs, and culinary enthusiasts who share one thing: the desire to bring food back to the table with meaning, respect, and genuine enthusiasm. No industrial products, no compromises—just pure, honest quality.
My responsibility as a distiller
As a distiller and founder of Brennlust , this membership means more to me than just another network. It's a commitment to true craftsmanship – and to the responsibility we bear as producers. Because alcohol is more than just a luxury item. It's culture, history, and emotion. And that's precisely why its conscious, respectful use is so important to me.
My special moment in Friedrichshafen
At this year's annual general meeting in April, on the beautiful shores of Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen, I was finally able to officially receive my shield—a moment filled with pride and anticipation for many collaborative projects with all the freaks! The reception followed, where I even got to serve one of my products: the wonderful Meladoro apple sparkling wine. 🤤



Hazelnuts, friendship and craftsmanship: Our hazelnut spirit
One example of this passion and collaboration is our hazelnut spirit: The hazelnuts come from none other than Martin Stiegeler of Franken GeNuss – also a member of freakstotable eV . Last summer, my husband Matthias and I made the trip to Franconia to pick up the freshly roasted, fragrant hazelnuts directly from the farm. While they were still warm, we placed them in the alcohol barrel to capture their full aroma and then carefully brought them back to Lake Constance.
They were gently distilled in our distillery – into a spirit that embodies all of history, dedication, and friendship. 🌰
Looking forward to Wirsberg: A feast for true enjoyment
And that's just the beginning! The next big highlight awaits in the summer (Sunday, June 1, 2025): EAT! Then the freakstotable will meet for a big event in Wirsberg – a feast for all the senses, full of honest food, real people, and real stories. I can hardly wait to celebrate the passion for good craftsmanship together with all the freaks and connoisseurs there. 🥂🎉 Further information about the event can be found at: Link .
