A character brand for connoisseurs.
The old cider pear variety Gelbmöstler grows on tall trees around Lake Constance—spherical, golden yellow, and full of flavor. Too bitter for fresh consumption, but a real discovery as a distillate.

Its origins likely lie in the canton of St. Gallen, but it spread throughout the Lake Constance region in the 19th century. Depending on the location, it has different names—from Möstler to Tropfbirne—but its character remains unique: spicy, distinctive, with depth and a long structure.

Our single-varietal Gelbmöstler brandy brings this individuality into the bottle – without any additives, but with plenty of tradition and taste.

How quickly should a bottle be consumed?

Opened bottles should generally be emptied within a few months to a maximum of one year to avoid loss of flavor.

Drinking temperature

The best drinking temperature for BRENNLUST distillates is between 15 and 18°C.

Drink a bit of water first

Before tasting the distillate, drink some water first. This moistens the tongue and pores. If you drink schnapps when you are thirsty, the alcohol will attack the exposed pores on your tongue. 40% vol. will then quickly feel like 50% vol.

Not all at once

Not all at once To experience most of the fruity aromas, it is recommended to enjoy the distillate in small sips. Simply drip it onto your tongue and the aromas will do the rest.
