Cornelian cherry – wild, unspoilt

This exceptional fruit brandy made from cornelian cherries—or, as they say in Austria, "Dirndlbrand"—enthusiasts with an incomparable flavor. On the nose, we find light grassy notes along with stone tones, while on the palate, aromas of dark chocolate, blackberries, and black currants unfold. And, of course, like all our fruit brandies, the Cornelian Cherry brandy was produced entirely without added flavorings and without any sugar. Simply a true fruit brandy.

Production

The healthy, fully ripe cornelian cherries came from the Hegau region and were hand-picked and sorted over several days specifically for this brandy. The mash gently fermented over several weeks and was then carefully distilled.

Drinking temperature

The best drinking temperature for BRENNLUST distillates is between 15 and 18°C.

Drink water before

Before tasting the distillate, drink some water first. This moistens the tongue and pores. If you drink schnapps when you are thirsty, the alcohol will attack the exposed pores on your tongue. 40% vol. will then quickly feel like 50% vol.

Not all at once

To experience most of the fruity aromas, it is recommended to enjoy the distillate in small sips. Simply drip it onto your tongue and the aromas will do the rest.
